oh sister, oh sister, let's walk the seashore {lost - jack/claire}

Title: Oh Sister, Oh Sister, Let's Walk The Seashore
Fandom: Lost
Characters/Pairings: Jack/Claire.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2,484.
Author's Note: Ignores Season Six canon. Very AU. Also, I'm sorry in advance if this makes no sense -- if you're completely confused by the end of it, I can explain I promise. For crickets.
Summary: AU. She says the Carolinas, she says New Jersey – for the ocean. He doesn’t have it in him to say California, and so he just lets it speak for itself in his rearview mirror (this is a story without an ending; or maybe it’s already over).

TBBT. Penny; not enough wtf in the world

prompts to help me avoid killing someone

I'm posting fic later today and I'm so pissed with the bathroom remodeler (who really isn't doing his job, just talking on his phone, as it turns out) I can't see straight BUT

I'm taking prompts. Standard format: fandom, pairing, word/song lyric/situation

Fandoms: Grey's, TBBT, some Lost (keeping in my mind that I haven't seen seen S6), umm...anything else, if it's in my fandoms (I can try right? lol)

Go.

ETA: Not taking any more prompts. Thanks.

6/17 completed.

prompting time

To celebrate my newfound freedom:

PROMPT ME:

fandom | pairing | song lyric

(Fandoms: Grey's Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory, Lost; also making exceptions for Dead Like Me, Oz, BSG)

Last time I got through the first half-dozen; this time it is my goal to surpass that.

And...go!

ETA: Prompting closed. Thanks for playing.

Total Finished: 4/19 and counting

(no subject)

They're forecasting rain for Halloween this year in my area, so I'm guessing I won't be seeing a ton of trick-or-treaters -- not that I ever do. Nonetheless, I have my candy and my mask to scare the children, and I'm definitely feeling the Halloween spirit.

I think I'd be feeling it a little more if I didn't have a paper due tomorrow night though. Definite damper.

On the fic front I wrote something for the Spooky Lost Fic Battle - "Simple Math" - Jack/Sun - S3-AU. I definitely want to write more as well. I've also got Grey's fic to put up today. It's short, under 500 words, and something I've never done before, so I'm a little nervous.

Happy Friday everyone!

the city sun sets over me {michael/sun}

Title: The City Sun Sets Over Me
Fandom: Lost
Characters/Pairings: Sun/Michael.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2,496
Author's Note: Go easy on me guys, Lost and me have a hard time understanding each other these days. Written for the promptathon. Relies on alternative timelines, or at least my idea of them. Also, I haven't been to Rockefeller Center in quite a while, so, you know, that's drawn from pictures I've seen.
Spoilers: Season 5 finale. Maybe. Lots of speculation.
Summary: New York City. In another life, one of boy meets girl, this would be a classic. Instead it's just confusion and words that don't add up.

pause button {jack, sawyer} (for siluria)

Title: Pause Button
Fandom: Lost
Characters/Pairings: Jack, Sawyer.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2,006
Author's Note: Queen siluria wanted storms. I haven't written this kind of Lost in a while so I'm out of practice.
Summary: Set early Season 1. The first time the rain lasts for longer than an hour people start getting antsy. Another two hours and they start counting.

in our bodies there are cells shaped like stars {jack/claire}

Title: In Our Bodies There Are Cells Shaped Like Stars
Fandom: Lost
Characters/Pairings: Jack/Claire. Various other characters are mentioned.
Rating: R
Word Count: 4,804
Author's Note: Written for gigglemonster . The ending of this is, well, very open, so I may write a sequel. Also, this is way plottier than I intended.
Summary: Post Season 5 finale. There is something about her, this girl that he's never seen before in his life, something that fools him into thinking he knows her.

it's in our family tree {jack/claire}

Title: It's In Our Family Tree
Fandom: Lost
Characters/Pairings: Jack/Claire, although this is more character-centric than pairing-centric.
Rating: R
Word Count: 1,618
Prompt: Written for crickets as part of the Alphabet meme (r is for roots). Also using it for #20 - Reflection at philosophy_20
Author's Note: Even I think this is weird. And I wrote the damn thing.
Summary:General spoilers for Season 5. Not chronological, not even remotely. Daddy was always full of secrets; you think he'd teach his son to lie better. (He never taught his daughter a damn thing -- one day she'll be thankful for that)

today you were far away {jack, sawyer}

Title: Today You Were Far Away
Fandom: Lost
Characters/Pairings: Jack, Sawyer (shippery if you squint). There are references to Sawyer/Juliet, Jack/Kate, Sawyer/Kate, but none of them really play any part in this.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1,481
Author's Note: Don't worry, I don't still write Lost, this was just a fluke, lol.
Summary: Spoilers for 5.13 - Some Like It Hoth. Jack mops floors, and Sawyer watches through the window of an old school, comforted as much as he can be by the knowledge that Jack’s still good at cleaning up other people’s messes.

and these nights never really got us anywhere {alex/richard}

Title: And These Nights Never Really Got Us Anywhere
Fandom: Lost
Characters/Pairings: Alex/Richard
Rating: R
Word Count: 3,931
Summary: AU, and yet somehow spoilers for Season 5 (minor). He's got reasons to be here. The island's a mess, and people keep showing up and then disappearing, and he doesn't have any clue why or how. So he's looking for someone who does. And then someone cuts him off and the highway and a glance in the rearview mirror ends with him looking for her instead.
